Free Lecture: Simple Things Save Lives

June 16, 2015 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Suicide Risk

Utah ranks 5th in the nation for suicide deaths among teens and ranks in the top 10 for adult suicide deaths year after year. In fact, the Beehive state is located in what researchers call “the suicide belt”.

What can you do as a mental health professional to help support your clients through serious depression and suicidal thinking, and hopefully prevent this unnecessary loss of life?

The Polizzi Clinic invites the mental health community to join us for a FREE seminar by Dr. Craig Bryan:

Simple Things Save Lives: Brief interventions for suicide prevention
Tuesday, June 16th
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

NASW Approval Pending 1 CEU

Attendees will learn the critical components of a crisis response plan, understand how to engage clients in identifying reasons for living in order to reduce suicide risk, and be able to create a strong crisis response plan in response for clients at acute risk for suicide.
